2013 Bullets & BBQ Recap
Our Bullets & BBQ (11/3/13) was another huge success! Thanks for all who came. We missed a few who RSVPd but couldn’t make it this time but they’ll have a chance to join us again next year Out thanks to the following people and organizations for making this event happen.

Cody Salfen, of Cody S and Associates, for helping our members requalify for the BSIS Firearms Carry Permit and donating proceeds to benefit our district

Roberto Rivera, of Rivera & Associates, and Edicus Garcia, of Edicus & Associates, for supplying the BBQ equipment and being our Master Chefs

10th Street Range, for the great service and allowing us to have our event there again. Make note that the 2nd Sat of every month, from 2 -5 pm, the range has an Outreach Program. Join them for free range time and BBQ. What a great opportunity for everyone to get together for some fun!

Case Study: Mountain Charlie’s Murder for Hire Investigation
Murder at our local pub…
Mountain Charley's Saloon in Los Gatos, a place known for dancing and wacky antics, became a star character in a sordid murder-for-hire plot that left the bar's former owner, Mark Achilli, dead and the man who took over, Paul Garcia, convicted of first-degree murder.
Mark Achilli: Los Gatos businessman, shot to death in his driveway on March 14, 2008.
Tessa Donnelly: Bar manager who had been dating both Achilli and Paul Garcia.
Esequiel ‘Paul’ Garcia Bought Mountain Charley’s and the 180 Restaurant from Achilli in 2007. Accused of arranging Achilli’s killing, allegedly because of the love triangle. Convicted, not yet sentenced.
Daniel Chaidez: Mountain Charley’s bouncer who allegedly accepted money from Garcia to set up the killing. Under a plea deal, he was sentenced to 12 years, 8 months in prison and was a key witness for the prosecution.
Miguel Chaidez: Daniel’s cousin, tried for his role in allegedly hiring the shooter. Sentenced to 25 years to life.
Lucio Estrada: Tried as the alleged shooter. Sentenced to life without parole.
Robert Jacome: Admitted driving Estrada from Southern California to Los Gatos. Under a plea deal, he was sentenced to 6 years, 8 months in prison.
