Past Events

MEDICAL FORENSICS, Ron Lopez, RN, PI
Ron Lopez, RN, PI, gave us valuable insight into the world of medical forensics.  He explained about sub-specialties in medical forensics such as Forensic Pathology, Forensic Anthropology, Forensic Odontology, and Forensic Entomology.

There was one particular video that made all of us gasp!  In this video paramedics were wheeling a patient into the emergency room at a hospital. Just before the doors closed, the gurney tipped over and the patient fell to the ground!  Mistakes happen and when they happen in medicine, you need someone like Ron on your side.
Ron holds an impressive resume and has testified as an expert witness for both federal and state courts.

LEVI STADIUM TOUR
What a treat!  The tour was 2 hours long and took us to places where the general public would never have access!  We went into the press box room, the private party sun deck, and even the locker room and cheerleader dressing rooms!  Our tour included access to the museum and of course, we spent about an hour in the gift shop looking at items that you would have never even considered!

The tailgate party was also a huge success.  Thanks to our board of directors, we had a gazebo, tables and chairs set out and everyone enjoyed the Panda Express lunch!  We were having so much fun that we forgot to take pictures!

Unfortunately, since the first home game was scheduled for the next day, we were not able to tour the security office as planned.  But we did get free t-shirts and we have 2 tour passes that we’ll raffle off at our next meeting!
